Hi, I’m Arminas and I love to explore the world. I was born and raised in Lithuania, a small European country with an incredibly long and vivid history, but I see myself as a citizen of the world.
I have been spending most of my earnings to do just that since my first road-trip in central Europe in 2007 – travel bug has got me good. It has made me a better person, a better partner, gave me a peace of mind, showed me the world as it is, not as I had wanted/imagined it to be. I want to share what I know with you.
Thank you. Thank you for coming to my blog.
Why is it called bucket showers? I love showers. All I need when I’m on the road is a shower and a dry bed. A bucket shower (you get a bucket of water instead of a shower) became a symbol for me after 6 months of backpacking in eastern Africa. A symbol of getting out of a comfort zone, a symbol of seeing that things can be different than your home, than your city, than your country, hell, different than your continent. It has become a symbol of simple life pleasures that we take for granted, a symbol of simplicity and not being needy. That’s why I call this blog Bucket Showers.
